Sam Arvik (3-0) picked up the win for the Toros pitching 5 strong innings allowing 3 hits while striking out 4. Arvik allowed an unearned run in the first. Reliever Noah Larsen pitched two innings of scorelees relief allowing two hits and striking out one.
The Toros tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the first on a two out RBI single by Arvik scoring Bryce Hendren.
The Toros tacked on two more runs in the 4th. Kendall Warner led off with a single to RF and advanced to 2B on an error by the Clinton right fielder. After a ground out, Warner scored on a single by Noah Johnson. McLean Conklin later singled and another error on the Clinton outfield scored Johnson to give the Toros all the needed.
The Toros managed seven hits. Kendall Warner and Noah Johnson paced the team with two hits each.
The Toros improved their record to 8-6 on the season. They return to action on Monday night vs. the Midwest Magic at the Pony Complex. The doubleheader starts at 5:30.
